Default Worthy investment or a waste of money

97 Honda Foreman 400, getting ready to purchase K&N air filter, jet kit, and an HMF pipe, also 2 inch lift kit with 26" Kenda Bear Claws, or ITP mud lites, not sure of which tires have the mud lites now but kind of like the bear claws a little better. I can purchase all of these things at dealer cost, I just need to know if this is a good idea, and if it will help out my performance much, and how much power will the big-foot kit take away, or will the add-ons compromise for the bigger tires. Would appreciate some good advice. Thanks

The jet kit, and pipe, may add 2. hp. Those motors arent big revvers, and youre not gonna gain much, and what you gain will be at the top of the rpm range. Its alot of money for such a small gain...but its your money.
Heres a dyno graph for a 450 honda, and notice how the power is moved up the rpm scale.

The bigger tires do eat up power, and you will probably loose speed, and acceleration, but youll gain alot of traction...your call on that.

I'm not normally a "big wheel" fan. But I've ridden some ATV's with mudlites on the stock rims and I really liked 'em. I personally think all the other mods are pretty much a waste of money.
