Kodiak eating its oil ?

Default Kodiak eating its oil ?

hi unlees the dealer never put oil in my kodiak before i bought it then its eating its oil , I checked it the other day afterthe CDI went up and their wasnt any in it ! I dont think in blew the motor but i dont know , i will know when the CDI comes in. But what could be causing this to do this ? Thanks TBGUY250

If the rings are gone you could of burned it all up, it could be leaking somewhere...

thats what i was thinking , it was the rings , but it never had any smoke coming from the exhaust and no oil drips or puddles any where

i have a 2003 kodiak 450 and my bike gors through the oil too but it not smoking or no drips where it is leaking. unsolved mystery LOL..

huh thats weird , looks like ill have to keep oil on hand at all times now

My 02 Kodiak is doing the same thing. I have no leaks or smoke............same unexplained missing oil. However the only time that it seems to go down is when I run high speeds for long periods of time. If someone can come up with any explanations I would love to here it.

Mine does the same thing

but does your gear oil get milky every time you go through water?
