Default SCRAMBLER 400 90hp?

Is it true that you can make a scrambler 400 have 90hp? I am looking into a scramvbler 400 4x4 for my next quad because I need 4x4, but mostly I want to go fast.

HPD's Powermaxx kit is 85+hp. 90+ is reasonable with the addition of alcohol. HPD has a drag machine on their site that uses the 400 motor with the Powermaxx setup and NOS and is rated at 125+hp

Just don't forget these are "at the crank" HP numbers and they are impressive. You need to make sure you use the girdle kit and the case saver kit.

Homdaddy have you run either at the drags for times. Was wondering what the et difference was between the powermaxx and the big bore race mod. I've got a big bore on alky and have given thought to getting the powermaxx.

ive never ran them on a clock but the power maxx is a rocket out of the hole and pulls pretty hard the rest of the way . i just need to figure out the right tire set up . i run 15-34 gears and 22-11-10 12paddle ultra lites
on both machines i use to run13-34 and it would lght them up like no tomarrow so i set up the gear higher and so that they wouldnt spine so hard and dig a trench. now im wonder if i need taller paddles or more or less butthey still out run my 740 raptor.

You might try a little less engagement with the clutch spring this should help with the digging as well!

yah im running a dark blue with a white stripe out of a 700 xc snowmobile i need to find a light blue that polaris put in the xlts and xcrs and most every other model that came out in the late 90s. the hpd violet is to high engagement to ride around on .
