Has anyone used this winch setup before. I saw the pictures on www.reddingco.com and it seems very chunky. Also doesnt seem like the mounting area is the strongest location either. Also can you use a plow with this setup.

I believe the Rule is a good winch but their mount/bumper is just BUTT ugly. Not to mention that is over a couple of hundred more. Stick with the Warn it's more than ample for the needs of a wheeler.

 

If a Rule appeals to you, fine. I think if I were considering a snowplow, as you are, I'd take a look at the Superwinch ATV2000; internal spring brake standard, compact, realtively easy to mount, affordable. If you go with Warn, as you originally mentioned, you might want to consider an add-on brake to hold the snowplow blade.

I believe you will be pleased with whatever winch you buy (don't forget the ****** block!).
