Just a wondering is it possible to get a rebuild kit and have the starter work again? was using it when the scooter wouldn't fire off for me.. and over did it on the cranking and it stopped working.. I haven't torn into it yet. but was just wanderin if anyone know what the chances are of just rebuilding it yourself..

or did do you think I fried the coil??


I will open it up here in a week or so when I start tearing everything off to rebuild lower engine, tranny and powder coat the frame..

You can get rebuild kits on Ebay for about $35. I have one in mine. Very simple to rebuild. Just pay attention to what you take out and where it came from. There are some small parts, washers, and screws in there

 

any way to be sure if I have a 2 brush starter without opening it up first? it's on a 88 250 trail boss...
