Default Virginia Beach Race

The Annual Virginia Beach Extreme weekend is April 29-May 1st. Quad MX racing right on the beach. Also a freestyle show.

Anyone near that area or planning to go? I am thinking of making the trip up there.

I tihnk i may try to race in it. I plan to run some MX races this spring, and some XC races, If the MX goes halfway decent I will run the beach. I read about it two years ago, and have wanted to go ever since.

I just started riding last year so I have a ways to go, I have only a little time on the MX track because the torn tendons in the wrist are still healing. Its good times down here though. To bad you can only race once a year in this area. We have to go up state or North Carolina to find a track and good trails.

Ive been thinking about going down too. Its only about a 3 hr drive for me.
If we can get an early start in the field this spring - and Im not too terribly jammed up,
I may ride down and get my *** handed to me in the sand drags

Its longer than that for me, about 8 hours. But I may be relocating to Va. Beach in 2006 anyway, so I can use it as a research trip as well.

Or so I will tell the company.

haha

I have done a lot of things on the beach, some aren't as fun as they seem like they'd be. That being said, racing would prolly be the second coolest thing I've done on the beach.
