Well I was off to buy a 05 500ho but I got a smok'n deal on a 98 500. The only thing it needs is a new seat. It run silky smooth and has plaenty of power for me. It isexactly what I was looking for. I dont really like the color but I will get my green or Camo stuff soon enough. It is the red one which , from what I have read had the EBS for that year. I was happy I had itdown a nasty downhill today.

Any way does anyone have a 98 ownersmanual? I need a copy! I am also looking for some green plastic and black rims. So if any one knows anyone with these items let me know. I dont like the red with the silver wheels. Oh yeah it came with a winch also!

I've had my 99 for almost a couple of years and have loved every minute of it. I would recommend getting
a service manual. I picked one up off of Ebay for about 20 bucks. Has come in very handy.
Take care of her and she will give you years of fun.

I am going to order a service manual also. I have to get a seat though this one has a bad snag on it and one of the plastic picese underneath on the pan is broke. ONLY issues with it, no leaks, no coolant no bad joints, and No scratches un the skid plates. just field mud and hay. Igot really lucky. I also got all the servce reciepts for 5 years. Mech Perfect but body ugly...lol

 

You will get a lot better gas mileage with your 98 than you would have with an 05. I've had a 97, 2001 and a 2004.5 sportsman 500's. The 01 gave me worse mileage than the 97 and the 04 gave me a lot worse than the 01. That's progress..............
