KAWASAKI TIRE AND RIM SWAPPING QUESTION
#2
I know alot of the guys with 400s put the prairie 650 and 700 wheels on theres so they have alot wider range of tires to choose from, and also from 02 and up the wheels are aluminum, (light weight). Im assuming Kawasaki probably had the same wheels on the 300 as the 400 so that should work fine. You can find the stockers on ebay pretty often real cheap. If your looking after market I like my type c series type 5s. Brute force wheels wont work because they are IRS.

WARNING!
The P300's for some reason had shorter wheel studs than the P400, P650 and P700. I was told the thicker wheels wont fit the 300 because of this, nowhere for the lug nut to bite the stud. Come to think of it, ive never seen a P300 with custom wheels. Im sure though that some P650 or P700 12 inch rims would fit fine, but anything thick like an ITP alluminum I would check on first.

Appearently not all 300's had shorter studs... I have an '01 - 4 X 4, & the studs are the same length as the stock ones were on my big Prairie... I currently run 650 Prairie wheels on it with no problems...
perhaps the one with shorter lug studs was either older, or a 2 X 4 ???
