ANY OF YOU HAVE REGULAR DOUGLAS .190'S ON YOUR DS?
#1
I got some with my new extremes a while back, and they havethe shamrock design. this is a problem, because
1. douglas claims that they only make shamrocks in a regular wheel in .125's
2. Joe at Fullerton Sand sports told me that since the DS's inception back in late 99, Douglas was contracted by Bomb to make the wheels, and that's how they were designed, and they just carried them over to their aftermarket lineup. if this is true, then why do i have .190's on my mx tires with a regular circular wheel.
I would hat to think that some clown out there switched stickers, but thten again, i don't want to go riding on my mew extremes, catch some air, and taco my rims.
thanks in advance

my '01 came with Douglass .190 from the factory, all shamrock design.
I also have a set of Douglass .160 that my sand tires are on, bought them sometime in '02 I think, and they are shamrock as well.
So Douglass makes the shamrock in a DS lug pattern in multiple thicknesses, because I have them in two.
If you question the thickness of the ones you have, measure them. measure with a micrometer across the center between two lug holes, and then divide by two.

Thanks HT. I appreciate it. I just got sick thinking that some CLOWN switched the stickers and sold me .125"
The funny thing is- the customer service at Douglas claims that the shams are only made in .125'ss that means they don't even know their own product!!

learnem,
it isn't suprising they don't know their own product, those are probably just cheap warm bodies you were talking to, not knowledgeable staff.
And to keep your fears away, I have .125s on my DS and have only had two small dents over all of my use.
