Default Anyone else here like Zillas

My brother has had a few zillas, and he loves them. He has been watching for a nice one for a while now. He loves his banshee but misses the low down power of a lt500r for trail riding. He mentioned something about going to look at one early this AM. He called me at my friend's house this morning and told us to come outside. He bought this 500r from a guy local who had it on ebay, not as a quadzilla not lt500r just listed as quadracer, it never met reserve so my brother went and looked at it and bought it without even riding it. It is clean, with original plastics. The pics dont do it justice.
Some pics of his LT500R

They're pretty cool but they have a bad habit of blowing head gaskets.

buddie of mine had a 500 never really got it running right, but the thing was real comfortable and the suspension was decent. he thought that a 500 2 stroke would eat the ds up but he was not much of a tuner and it never happened. he had a real nice running shee but at 6'4 needed more room. i always thought an LT frame and a modern 4 stroke would work well.

I like zilla's. i still have one. The 87's had head gasket issues. I have a cool head on mine. Mine runs real good. The prob with the zilla is that I got spoiled by the ds's suspension. They were real cutting edge when they came out. My zilla blows the doors off my ds on hill shoots. On the flats its a lil more even.

He bought the 500 mainly for trail riding, He loves the 2strokes but just wasnt happy with the banshee for some of the tighter, slower trails we sometimes run. His banshee will be his play toy when it comes to drag racing, maybe I can talk him into dropping dome domes, upping some carbs and drinin some alky.

Yeah, I think the grill is maier, but the rest of the plastic are original and the stickers are even in good condition.
Out west in the sand its easy to find nice old quads, but around here the red clay and mud destoys em'.
