im 13 years old 5.6ft and 150 pounds do u think a TRX 250 EX would be a good ATV for me this will be my first quad and im not looking to race just to ride around and play with

Should be fine for you. Make sure you always have your riding gear on, and take it easy until you get used to the machine .. you don't have to be going fast to seriously hurt yourself.

 

do u no if it is a law in NJ for pple under 16 to ride over 90 cc and if it is should i listen to it

 

Psh, your a big kid. Im 14, 5'2 110 pounds. I am riding a 04 Rubicon 500 and a 01 Wolverine 350cc. You can handle it easily, but the dealers wont sell you a bike if your under 16. They wouldnt sell me either. My father had to say it was for him.

 

alot of dealers dont really care, my brother bout a quad he was supposed to be 12 to ride when he was nine, my dad didnt have to say it was for him or anything, as far as the 250ex being good for you, i think its good for anybody, im 17 and just bought mine, its not fast but great for trails and cruising, and very reliable.

 

i believe it would be a great start out bike b/cause i am 14 5ft 6 and 140 lbs and my stepdad has a 400ex which i love to ride and it may be 2 big for me but i would never admit it. i would have a bigger bike if money wasn't an issue u will eventually want bigger but it will be great for a start. i think the bigger the funner. most of the time

 

it should be good, i started out on a trailblazer 250. it was fun but the the frame cracked off in 3 areas. if your gonna buy it you might as well bring a parent, they just said since i wasnt 16 they had to sign it under a parents name

 

250cc (4-stroke) + 13yrs old = Severly under powerd

 

lol yeah, my buddy was only in 4th grade and his parents got him a Blaster which he still has today
