when i was that old, i was riding a kawasaki prarie 650, my first was a 90cc honda then a 250cc honda, then a 420cc honda, then my kawasaki

TRX 250 EX good for 13 year old???

i am 13 and i just bought a 04 Honda TRX 400ex and love it.. but i have been riding since i was 3 or 2 (on a 3 wheeler and dirt bike at 4) so i have plenty of experience. have you ever rode one if you have 5 of expereince i would say you could get a 400 if you want to go faster. but you have to be careful and have to have your ATV safety license.

me... i got a 400ex and can keep up with my dads kfx 700 the 300ex is what you want becuase you are a beginer and you dont need to go that fast but i also thik getting a bigger machin is nice becuase you wont out grow it as fast thats y i have a 400 and dad wouldnt let me get 660 raptor

It's fast for what it is, mine will go 55mph. Just make sure you use honda GN4 oil for it, regular motorcycle oil will ruin the centrifugal clutch. VERY reliable, got mine about a year ago and have put 5000 miles on it. It's been badly wrecked many times, it just keeps cruising. Today my friend flipped it forward over a barbed wire fence. He just dragged it out and flipped it over, started right up.
