OK.......over the summer i was riding my quad alot and one night while me and pure510 were riding together my head pipe was CHERRY RED.......I MEAN IT WAS SO RED IT LITE UP ALL AROUND THE QUAD. Anything thing you guys think might be the problem

 

Most 4 strokes exhausts will glow up around the head.My YFZ and my Z-400 have done it since day one.That is not to say that there couldn't be a problem but, I have seen this alot on 4-strokes...............

 

ok..dont know if this helps but my quad sounds like it is going to blow up when you put it in 5th gear lol

about the headpipe being all light up its happened to me and my friends yfz, and Z250

 

The red head pipe is normal. Could you be more specific about what it sounds like in fifth gear? Does it only sound like that in fifth?

 

Manufacturers jet lean, to meet emisions standards. Makes the machine run hotter!

 

yeah only in fifth....it sounds like UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Usaually the YFZ accelarates mine doesnt
