My wife’s DS was rolled by my sister last weekend and I have the typical bent stem and bars as a result. The stem is barely twisted and I was wondering if it is a bad idea to trim out the steering with the tie rod adjustment to bring it back to straight. Also, I have been doing some searches on handle bars and was wondering if anyone is using the Tusk T-7's. I don't want to spend allot on the bars since the quad is my wife's and doesn't see allot of use or abuse. If so what bend is recommended and do you need a spacer? Thanks for the help.

I have the t-7 bars and i have not had a problem. i put them through some abuse as well. you have got to get the raptor bend for them to fit with out hitting the tank. i found out the hard way. i now have a set of "universal fit sport quad" bars collecting dust.

 

Anyone had any luck straightening the steering stem? Mine is slightly twisted at the bar mount but not bent.

 

Why not adjust, drill a little out, space to make up the difference

 

If you try to take the twist out by adjusting the tie rods then your stops will be in the wrong position and you will not have the same turning radius in both directions.

 

A new stem is the only way to go!!!!!!!!!! cant be that much

 

$135.00 from the dealer, i have a bend in mine, I am just gonna get the pipe from a local steel fabricator but it is gonna be 1 1/2 inches longer and weld the top and bottom mounts on and then i can fit any handlebars i want, shouldn't be anymore than $65.00 that way, there are numerous posts on here about a couple of guys doing this and liking it, just my 2 cents
