I like my wolverine but i also have a sportsman and use each differently. It all depends on
where ,what, and how you ride to determine what is best for you. The wolvy is a great trail
machine that could use more power but is light and nimble. If you want a cvt there are a ton of choices
out there 4x4 or sport quad big medium or small define what you want and then narrow it down.

Default Info about Wolverine

Info on Wolverine:

Topspeed: Approximately 58 mph (fast enough to whip some blasters, some 300ex's, and a whole bunch of 4x4 and 2x4 utilities

Horsepower: around 18 stock (pretty weak compared to a raptor which has around 35)

Weight: 477 lbs dry (That makes it the lightest 4x4 on the market by a good margin)

Full time 4x4: This takes away from the sport side of the wolverine's personality. This also make the wolverine a monster in slippery conditions. No stock 2wd quads can follow a wolverine when the going gets tough. (yea anybody can wind out a sport quad and glide over a mud hole but the wolverine can stop and back up beside a stuck 2wd)

Suspension: It has over 7 inches of travel on the front and back. It does good for fast trail riding and medium jumping. (There is a photo on my page of me jumping a road on my bike) It is not the smoothest riding bike but it's not bad either.

Work duties: It is not the best utility bike (mainly due to the gearing) I've not really pulled anything with mine but I ran across a site that tested the pulling strength of several quads. The wolverine and the honda 300 4x4 pulled exactly 600lbs (on a special gauge) before the tires began to spin. I was amazed because I own both of these bikes and I would have thought that the honda would have out pulled the wolverine.

Maybe you should post the reasons you are considering the wolverine and we can reply to that.

What quads have you driven or owned before? What kind of experience do you have? What are the things you consider most important about your next bike?
