Plant tour.....Lincoln Neb
#1
Got a tour scheduled for this Thurs. for the Kawasaki plant in Lincoln, Neb.
Should be mighty interesting....I would post pics, but they made it
very clear that there is to be NO CAMERAS ALLOWED.....they even told me to leave
my cell phone in the car....I"ll let everyone know how it went

Cool Absolutely cool...took about an hour and a half...the first thing we
saw was the Prairie-Brute line...
Saw water craft being built, mules, street bikes, hell they even build
their own welding robots....I asked the guide where are the KFX 400
He said they dont build them...Suzuki does....I didnt know that
I knew they were the same machine but I thought Kawi built them
They havent built any KSF 250's this year..[you know the Mojave]
They build wheels for several ATV's....the guide said the build 9000
yep nine thousand wheels per day...3000 per shift...thats a lot of wheels
I would suggest this tour to every one....VERY COOL...

Its a great tour, I have been twice. What did they put on the 2nd line, The one right after you pass the prairie line. I am also wondering if the Twin peaks was still in production with the prairies?

Thats kinda what I thought. They were geting ready to take down the second line, to retool about a year ago for an un discosed new product. I figred it ended up being the BF750. I kinda hoped the twin Peaks was going to keep going. I liked the extra color and styling choices and my suki dealer makes allot better deals than my kawi dealer does. I guess them not being in production last week does not mean they are dead for sure but I have the fealing the aliance is fadeing.
