Raptor Air Boot restrictor plate
#1
Well I went to check the airfilter, and of course it was barely if any oiled when the dealer put it in. So I checked out the airboot restrictor plate you guys where talking about. It makes a noticable difference when it is gone, It feels like it should pull another gear. So yes I think it works. when you guys check your airfilter look at it, It would probably help yours to cut it out.

To check the difference it made before hacking at my snorkel, I just made a few runs w/o the snorkel at all. It did make a small noticable difference. I only ended cutting one side out though. I don't feel like leaning it out too early. Maybe after is has a few more hours on it!

I checked the plug, doesnt appear to be leaning it out any, but then again it has probably not increased airflow that much because it is before it enters the filter and proably just allows a slightly more freeflowing air to enter the box, it all still has to flow down the tube into the box and do a 180 to get to the filter, not like jerking the airbox lid and having air enter from 360 degrees. Also I bet the jetting is just a little rich from the factory, not even accounting for the universal jetting they use may not be optimal for my altitude Im riding at. I should probably check my jetting again at intervals to make sure the thing is maintaining
proper jetting.
Also has anyone tried a hotter plug? just thinking on going to buy some spares, wondering if any one has had any success with something a bit hotter.
proper jetting.
