Yerf dog 3209 - Need help!
#1
We bought a yerf dog 3209 model last year, and have had many problems, but have been able to work thru them, but this last one, definitely electrical, has me stumped.
The kart won't start! I've tried every thing, new battery, clean connnections, etc. After a week of trying, it did start briefy yesterday for about 5 minutes and then quit again.
Anybody else have the same problem, or know of a fix?
Thanks.

I'm not positive, but I have read in another thread that the automatic choke does not last very long on these karts. I have the 4209 and have had no problems yet. I do need a new battery however. Where did you get your replacement battery?
Thanks

HELP!!! Now that I realize that Yerf-Dog is out of business, no one there is answering the phone or helping me. They had a voluntary Recall on my model for the front ball joints. Thanks to this forum, I found out about it, because they sure didn't send me a notice, even though it was registered!
Now I can't get their fax machine or phone system to answer with a live person to put my order in for the new ball joints and retaining clips. Obviously, this is a very dangerous situation and I will not let my kids drive the kart until it is fixed.
Does anyone know where to find the rebuild kits for the front ball joints that were recalled in June of last year?
Thank you very much in advance!

I have a 4209 that had given me starting problems also. I found that the switch on the brake master cylinder was not making contact as it should. Try bypassing the safety switch on the brake master cylinder.
