#1
im at the stage in my rebuild to try and fire the motor, but there is no spark. I have searched everywhere for a wiering diagram but cant find one. There is four main wires to hook up right? two from the cdi and two from the left case. if anyone has any suggestion or a diagram that would be awesome. you have helped me out with all my other problems, please help with this one. thanks alot.

You'd be surprised at how many times people have pulled their hair out trying to "fix" a bike that was out of gas, the kill switch was in the off position, the spark plug wire was off, or the gas cap vent was turned off. Even good mechanics sometimes overlook the obvious.
There should be two wires coming from the stator coil and two from the CDI. Make sure they are plugged in tight. Also check the wires on the kill switch. I can't remember for sure, but it may not run if the kill switch is unplugged.
Did you install the CDI just as it was removed?
What about the stator? Is it possible that you broke the internal connection?
If it was firing before you took it apart, it should be a simple fix.

lol, i have done that whole outta gas thing with my lawn mower. i will have an extra week because i let my "friend" rebuild the motor, drained the oil and found chunks of metal in the oil. i take it tomorrow to get a professional rebuild, so im gonna go over the whole wiring harness. i think it may just have a bad connection somewhere, it is 21 years old.
