Will it be hard to Re-Jet?
Hey guys since i'm gonna be ridin my 350x for a while longer i figured i'd buy a pipe to up the performance a little bit. My problem is that the last time i had my carb off i looked at it and the fuel & air mixture screw was snapped off . Is it possible to re-jet it w/ out needing the screw??

Thats what i was afraid of. Well i think i solved all of my carb problems, i was browsin around ebay and found a near perfect cond. 300ex carb off of a 03' model for only $50, i couldn't pass it up so i went ahead and bought it. So now i'm gonna have a new carb to go along w/ my new pipe .

Well, the 300ex carb is pretty much (or identical to) a 250x carb which just a tad bit smaller than the 350x carb. However i am told that this is a newer generation of a carb and delivers much better throttle response and a little bit more overall power. Since this was basically a brand new carb for only $50 i couldn't pass it up to replace my 20 year old piece of crap carb lol.

Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see, if i can't get it to work after i've re-jetted it then i'll just sell it to my buddy who has a 250x and get my money back. No loss there. But man i don't think that gettin air to the engine will be much of a problem since i could always get air vents for my lid or just remove the lid and run an OuterWear over my K&N. Later.
