Default IMS 5 Gal Tank

I have a new IMS 5 Gallon tank on its way here. Was wondering how many miles this thing will get me. I have the 175 main jet and my needle is on #3 (middle). I have an end cap and K&N. I ride it mostly in the 4500 to 6500rpm range.

Also, on the install, anything I should know? I would think its easy to install.

About a million with 1.5 gallons left over

I like the looks of that tank (really like the black one) but, WOW - that's a lot of fuel.

I rode from Glams to the Mexican Border and back on probably less than 3 gallons. That's a Pami 760 with dual FCR carbs on sand!!!

I filled up at Pair-A-Dice because one of the gals met us there with fuel (the YFZ's were sucking air after making it one way!

Keep the RPM's down and I would think you'll get at least 80 miles on that tank. If you ride hard pack you are probably well over 100 - especially if you are holding a speed on desert roads.

I put mine on and had to install (2) 3/4" spacers on it to get a perfect fit. But it is definetly a superior tank.

The IMS tanks fit really well, they don't 'look' like an aftermarket / high capacity tank; if I had to look at it like those MX guys look at the ones for motorcycles I probably wouldn't have bought it. It fits the machine so well it just looks like a factory install.

Put it on, looks like it should have rolled out of the factory like that. The install was pretty simple, just have to look at what hoses and wires could be smashed if you don't push or pull them out of the way. Not a big deal. Then I was all ready to hook up the fuel line and realized that I needed a longer hose. Then I found the instructions....oh there its says...needs 17" of fuel line (5/16).

Here are some PICS

Looks good, you going to sell the skat trak edges, are they on rim and how many paddle, might be interested. I live in Vegas, so could pick up or something like that if I decide to buy if your selling them.

I traded them. A friend of mine had them on his wifes lakota...the haulers were a bit overkill for it and the 20" Edges should help the lakota. So, no they aren't for sale.
