I have a very tiny slow leak on my kfx's rear tire. I was wonderring if anyone had any ideas on how to cover it up or reuce the amount of air its losing. The tire is ridable if i inflate it before i leave but i dont know how it will perform on longer outings.

 

Every time I use Slime...it works for me.

 

take off the tire put in your bath tub and fine were the leak is and completly patch it so u hav no leak[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
sounds hard but it shoodn't b
deflate tire all the way and take it partialy off the rim(half off , half on)
try patching it than no leak

 

go to harbor freight, they carry Slime tire sealant. it's suppose to be some of the best sealant you can buy.

 

someone told be the slime stuff is pretty heavy, is this true?

 

No need to put it in a bath just inflate it and pour sudsey water over it and you will see bubbles where it is. Why don't you just go to a garage and get it plugged?(that is if it is tubeless)

 

Not really..and theres no need to add the whole bottle, try using 1/4 bottle and see if it stops leaking. It probably will, but if it doesnt, just keep adding a bit more, and itll stop. it wont make the tire out of balance.

 

I have tried slime, and am not really fond of it. I prefer fix-a-flat, and run it in all my tires all the time.

If it isn't a puncture of some kind, it may be a leaking bead. I have had good luck with fix-a-flat sealing these.

 

i had an actual gash in my tire, it would be flat in 3 hours

i defeleated the tire completely bought a screw on can of fix a flat
fill the tire back up to recommended pressure, tire still has the original air from 6 months ago
