Beginner racing info
#1
Hi, I just got a new quad about 3 weeks ago and me and my friend want to start cross-country racing. Can anyone give me some basic information on cross-country racing in or around Las Vegas, Nevada? Websites with good info? We would like to just start out with just normal races, no series or anything like that. My friend has a 2000 Yamaha Blaster, it has a procircuit pipe on it and wholeshot tires. I have a 2005 Raptor 660R that is completely stock. Is there any obvious things we should do to them before we start to race? Would we have a chance in a race with our quads how they are? Thanks.

WORCSis a national series that has some races close to there... any C class you qualify for is a beginner class.
I know there is more XC type stuff around there, many desert racers are based out of LV... look up some local shops such as sand-tech racing, and ask them... that's the best way to start.
PM me your email addy- i'll email you another site ot two that might help. they don't like us posting other sites too much here.
