Default gearing on a 2000 DS 650

I have too much torque in first gear. i would like more torque in 3rd and 4th gear. what is a good gear combination for the front and rear sprocket size to help make that happen. thanks

the smaller the front sprocket will gain more torgue as well as the larger the rear sprocket. Although if yor looking for more torque in the taller gears then I would say your gonna need to get into motor mods. Carbs / carbs, piston, cams, port work, valves, stoke the crank..etc the list goes on. It all depends on how much you want and how much your willing to spend to get it.

Start with gearing. Drop a tooth on the front or add a couple on the rear.
If your still wanting more. Then prolly step uip to a bigger carb and ported intake. and then...LOL only money is the limit
