new battery
#1
ok, ive been reading some lately and in the past few weeks on people putting in higher amprage batterys in their quads because of all the accesorys they run. so im looking into when my batery is dieing or maybe even this fall to put in a new high amp battery. the price is of no consern and i dont want to screw around and mount a second battery. i also have conserns with that since my quad is an EFI and if i were to accidentaly drain the battery, i have no way to get it started, and i usually ride alone.
so my question to you guys is help me find the highest amp battery that i can slap in this quad and make it fit, thanks

I haven't looked into higher amperage batteries, but it seems like the stock Polaris battery works good with all the crap I have installed.....I'm working on the mounts for my Dick Cepek lights I'm putting on. Will post some pics when I get them done...need to run and pick up some steel....
would be interested what others have to say about batteries....?

sounds interesting elkbow, I was talking to my dealer today and he said that the 7's and 8's have a converter or whatever near the radiator that takes the power from the alternator and makes more out of it so theres enough power to quickly recharge the battery since it uses so much to turn over the engine. i feel a little better about me not running out of juice, but id still like to get a more powerfull battery for mine and my dads, as everything is really dim on the display when the lights are on like its not making enough power.
