has this been a problem or did it just occur?
You could check the thumb throttle. Sometimes it gets worn out where the thumb rod goes thru the body.
Cable routing is essential also. Surely you've lubricated the cable eh?!

Well it is not dirt. It has been a problem for a while. It seems to me that the slide turns alittle and it gets stuck in the grove of the slide. It just doesnt just get stuck it gets jambed. I dont know if I need to get a new carb or what. I sure hope not. Was hopeing that it could be fixed. Is it possible that the slide goes up too high and comes out of the groove it supposed to be in?

Interesting..
I think it's time to measure the slide and the carb and see what the clearance is.
