Hi guys,
My Raptor should be coming in a few days, and living in Los Angeles, I was wondering if anyone knows of any good places to ride in southern California. Specifically, some dune riding would be nice. I'm a very experienced rider, so I don't need power-puff rides.
Thanks.

Pismo is a little ways north, but it's a good time. Glamis is a further ways south but it's a really good time...

Calvin,

If you havent been to Glamis yet, you are missing out on the best dune riding in the United States. If you are in LA Glamis, Pismo and Dumont are all about the same distance in travel. Pismo is too small and you cant really ride wide open. Dumont has some huge dunes, but it isnt any where near as expansive as Glamis.

I hear the Raptors are coming in on the Oct 2, is your dealer getting them earlier?

Not sure when the Raptor is coming, but my dealer was invoiced over a week ago. Where did you get the Oct 2 date? My dealer doesn't know beyond "any day now".

If your dealer was invoiced over a week ago you should have it by tomorrow or possibly Monday. I heard Oct. 2 from my dealer and also from a company that is making aftermarket products for the Raptor.

It's not as big as Glamis, that's for sure, but the dunes here (Pismo) are nice. The good weather will make the trip more enjoyable. Plus camping on the beach is always cool.
