i was gonna put my new endcap on today and i took off the old one and the canister was empty no packing around the long screen or anything but i am putting a mrhp endcap on do i need to put packing aroung this long tube or can i leave it empty? thanks again guys

 

Yes you need to repack it. The pipe will not be tuned correctly if you don't. An untuned pipe will not produce the power that it is capable of.

Yes dennis kirk does have it they have two types some fmf stuff like i use it seems to work well or they have a wrap type packing looks like it would last much much longer.

 

hey dunerider I'm looking at the dennis kirk cataloge right now i see the fmf stuff but there is 5 different fmf pacing materials do you have a part number of the stuff you use? thanks so much

 

No sorry i dont got any part numbers for it...but ide think any of the stuff would do. The stuff i was using is a very stringy material and its pink you cant wrap it around ur baffle either..it just falls all over the place... what i do is put the baffle in the canister then pack all the packing in there as tight as i can get it, seems to last the longest that way.
