Default Tire Question on 99 Sportsman

Ok, I have a 99 Polaris Sportsman 500 that needs tires. I've decided to go with the Mud lite's. Not sure to run the regular ones or XL's. Anyways, if I decide to buy rims, I have the option of going with a 12 inch rear rim vs the stock 10 inch. I will be running a 25 inch tire.

1. Will there be a huge performance issue going to a 12 inch rim?
2. Will I need to add spacers to the fron to level the quad?

Any help is apprecaited.....

Default Tire Question on 99 Sportsman

i have you covered partner....i got this quad with 26" itp mudlites on the c-series 12 inch aluminum rims... the front will need spacers and no, not a big power loss, just a little harder to spin out because of the superior grips on these tires

Default Tire Question on 99 Sportsman

i said spacers on the last post, i meant yes on the spacers for the wheels to clear the tierods, no you don't have to have the spring spacers, but i ordered some from silverbullet to level mine out because i have a winch and brushguard on mine,

Default Tire Question on 99 Sportsman

Just to clarify..since I will be running 25 inch tires, the spacer I'm refering to are the once to lift the front of the quad to compensate for the extra 2 in added to the rear.

Ok, I also have a winch so I'm thinking I might have to add them to the springs to level the quad out.

I might just the tires and mount them on the stockers....
