I have a 96 Sportsman 400 4x4 and the rear chain needs adjusting. I have looked at the book and I can't get the center guard off. The rear bolt will not loosen. It feels like the back side is a smooth bushing where the bolt screws into. Is it suppose to be welded on? Maybe I should just take it to the dealer and have them do it. Any help would be appreciated.

 

I use a small set of visegrips,end ways, to hold it from under the bike.
