I went thru all the post's but never found what i really needed. I bought a 2001 ds 650 last summer loved it was going thru it this winter and noticed that my throttle cable was down to 3 strands so i need to replace it. Simple enough you may all think but i have no idea what kind i need, the stock does not work!! I have the lectron carb, and a hpd performance extended thumb throttle. My throttle cable that was working was a 90 deg going into the carb and a large thread going into the billet thumb throttle . well i hope someone can help, Hightower i think i spoke to you after i bought it it was from the guy in cincinatti, oh can't remember what he went by on the other site but i believe he had the same set up as you. thanks in advance i need to know where to order so i can have it on the way I AM READYTO RIDE..... Moose Billte thumb throttle is what you can raplace the whole throttle with or call mooseracing and get a cable to jyst replace the worn one..

 

try getting in touch with eric or randall at hpresearch.net they should be able to help you out with somthing as they are lectron dealers

 

yea i sent them an email thursday. i will try and give them a call saturday. theycarry cables for lectron's with 90's but then they also carry cables for billet thumbs . I kinda need one for both. thanks for your post's
