Default Tire removal from rim, Honda 110

I have a 1980 Honda 110, I have a flat FRONT tire, and need to know how to remove the tire from the rim. I have made a frame of wood, 9 1/4 inches in dia. and jacked my truck up, and put it under the bumper, and let the truck down. The wood frame just pushes around the tire, but doesn't break the bead. I know the rim is tapered. Does someone have a really easy way to get the bead broken from the rim? I have done this once before, but can't remember exactly how I did it. Does one have to do this themselves, or could a tire shop use their machine and break the bead? Thanks for any idea you might have. Tom

I've always just drove over one side of it. Lay it down and then have someone get it positioned so the pickup tire will go over one side and then drive over it slowly.

If it will hold air, try puting a few pounds back in it. This sounds crazy but it will make the sidewalls firm enough to pull down on the bead. I have seen the tire store do this, using the bead machine.
