I'm looking at getting my youngest a new quad (80 or 90). He likes the Raptor 80 but that has low ground clearance. Anyone have experience with the DS 90 or other kid quads that they would recommend. We ride REAL rocky trains so ground clearance is very important.

I did alot of research before I purchased my sons quad for christmas 04 and the best that I found in my opinion is the Kasea skyhawk which is what I purchased. I have had no problems with it and there are alot of vendors that sell aftermarket parts to hop it up. I would stay away from the raptor due to it not having independent front suspention. If you want to do your own reasarch PM me and I will send you a link to another forum.

I'm leery of those chinese and taiwanese imports. I bought his first ATV from one of those manufacturers and had a real problem gettings parts when needed. Brand names may cost more but at least I can drive to the local shop and get what I need instead of waiting weeks in the hopes I receive the correct part.

My nephew has a DS50 and hasn't had a bit of trouble out of it in the two years he's been riding it. If that boy can't tear it up nobody can! He's so bad most of the parents in their subdivision want let their kids play with him. He's my brothers child and all but I can't blame the othe rparents. Anyway his DS50 has been a tough little sucker and has some good low end power for it's size.
