What's a good rear tire for AC 500i???

I took my 2002 AC 500i for some deep snow riding today. With only 50% tread remaining on our original factory Dunlop rear tires, my ATV slid all over the place. In addition to that, it was getting stuck in the snow with lots of remaining ground clearnance. .<u>Talk about frustrating at times</u>. Therefore, it's time for me to think about replacing our factory Dunlop tires. The tread on its front tires is still in great shape. They look "near new". Like many in my area, I'm on a very strict financial budget. Thus, we can only afford to replace the rear tires - on its factory rims. I also don't want to go with higher rubber. Little wider (without the risk of breaking its rear axles) would be ok but not higher. Lack of ground clearance for my riding conditions has never been a concern.
What rear tire replacement do you recommend for my 2002 AC 500i???
thanks.

GBC Dirt Devils, Titan or ITP 489, or Kenda Bear Claws. All good tires in a 25" size that will be fairly inexpensive. a 25x10-12, 25x11-12, or even 25x12-12 will work.
I'd take a look at what rocky mountain atv has to offer. If nothing else, it will give you an idea of what is available in your size, and they are normally one of the cheaper places online.

Thanks Andy. I was looking at the tread design of the 589s and someone PM'd me stating they are great tire but when they spin, one instantly digs in deeper. He implied that "too much" tread sometimes isn't a great thing. One needs a "balance" treat design for our Trailer pulling, mild mudding, odd deep snow and lawn driving. With those 589s, I can just see the look on my wife's face when I do a fishtail on her lawn. I'll look at the "GBC Dirt Devils, Titan or ITP 489, or Kenda Bear Claws" tread patterns in a few moments. For us, I need to focus on a "good all round" balanced tire. Many thanks.

Dirt Devils are a great all around tire, and they wear like iron. Kawasakirules, I see you are from Connelsville. You ever ride up near Casparis? It looked like there were a ton of trails up there. My buddy and I were driving around in the toyota for 4 hours on one trail before we turned back.

Thanks for helping me so much. I really appreciate it.
Here's a list that caught my eye:
http://www.nebraskatire.com/atv/itp/589.htm
http://www.tiresnstuff.com/kenda-bearClaw.html
http://www.nebraskatire.com/atv/itp/mudlite.htm
http://www.cykel.com.au/products/atv/ -> Dirt Devils
Of these (or perhaps one that I didn't list), which would you select?
Note: Rubber size would be 25x11x12 (same as our current Dunlops).
thanks.

jhr400ex i have been up there plenty of times and trust me if you go up and follow trials and don't know where you are going and get lost you have a huge chance of lost and dieing lol theres a trail that starts up in cas and goes down to the river and you follow it up and it will take you to falling waters from here that likes a 45min drive in a car... tonz of trails up there i love it and if you ever go up to the look-out you will have to take a quad or walk cuz its blocked off not to good though just be carefull not to fall off... next time yinz come down tell me about it and we can ride together i am usually in the yamaha or kawisaki forum... how far are you from connellsville?

If you can get a 25x12-12, I'd go with that. The extra width will help you out in traction as well as stability, and really won't affect you much in terms of weight. I hate that fact that most quads come with 10" stock rear tires. The 11" is even an improvement with AC, but I'd put a 12 on the rear everytime if I had the option.
