Just purchased a 1999 Traxter in November. Along with the ATV I purchased the Bombardier snow plow. The dealer will not release the plow because he says Bombardier is releasing a new mounting kit and will not release it. Anybody else heard this. Also, do you need a winch mounting kit (cycle country) to put a winch on the Traxter. And one more question, the Traxter is supposed to have an auxilary power hook up in front for a winch. Anybody been able to locate it?

I just got the "County Plow" brand plow for my '00 Traxter. My Bomb. dealer installed it and with no such story as that a "new" mount is needed?! I also had my dealer install a 2000 lb. Warn winch and yes it does require a special mounting bracket for the winch. The dealer wired it all the way back to the battery. The only aux. elect. plug I know of is the cig. lighter style plug on the front cowl by the handle bar stem. I wouldn't use that for plugging in a winch.
