OK, I am wondering if I can get various parts from a 2005 predator and put them on a 2003 predator(transmission, etc)? I want my 2003 to have reverse... I hate having to pick the damn thing up everytime I come to a trail end. And I don't want to go spend 5k on a new quad when mine is just as good as new. If you have any answers, please let me know. Thanks.

Ask your dealer about it. I asked mine awhile back and they told me, but I dont remember exactly what they said. I think it was something like you had to get the engine along with the tranny, but Im not for sure on this. I do remember that I would be expensive to do, thats when I dropped the idea!

You'd basically need a whole new bottom-end. You'd come out cheaper in the long run by selling the 03' and just buying an 05

like i said in another post, this thread is more than a year old, your not going to get a reply from the original posters. as far as your question, reverse was introduced in 2005

wow.. thought this was dead. and yes.. the 2003 predators don't have reverse. not a really big deal if you are on the track a lot like me, but kinda sucks for trail riding when you get stuck somewhere [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
