38 carb in a trailblazer 250!
#1
Does anybody know if a 38mm carb will fit in a stock trailblazer 250. I'm having a guy getting me one at polaris and am just wondering if i will have to do a little work to squeeze it in there.
Also, do you have to change jettings after cylinder porting or not.

hello
carbs, jets, exhaust all need to be matched to get best ride-ability / performance
I would think since 250 comes stock with 30mm, and you are attemping to install a 38mm
unless you do extensive head / piston work, you will need to get smaller jets for the 38mm
I can't say 'for sure', but 38mm is not physically much bigger, and there is alot of room there
once you remove stock air-cleaner
why are you going 38mm?? Is your 30mm bad? Or are you just looking for performance upgrade??
I'd suggest Jets / Exhaust matched for your 30mm--and don't forget about Air Cleaners & Reed Vlvs
just my thoughts , good luck

Ya, i'm gonna try to get the most out of it this summer. Since i already have an aaen pipe and correct jets on it now, I figured a 38mm carb wouldn't be a bad change. I'm going to have the cylinders ported next week to give it a nice boost. Also buying a clutch kit soon.

A 38mm is way to big for the 250. Even if you have some work done it is still too big. Take it from me I know. The biggest carb you can put on and not have major tuning problems is a 36mm. Even with the 36mm you need alot of work. Dont go with the 38mm.

In my opinion the PWK 33 would be the absoltue best for the 250 unless it's an all out race mod, then the 35 or 36 would be the stuff. A 38 is way too big for the piston port motors like that.
