secondary clutch

right before i preload the secondary. i put a mark on the sheath and one on the drum aaen roller. i spun it c.c put retainer clip on. the marks are about 2 - 2 1/2 in. apart do i need to go over one more ramp on the helix. ive seen people talking about using a fish scale .between 11-12 pounds. been a long time since ive used a fish scale ..... exactly how much should it take for a person to hold the secondary and turn it????????? a grunt or a grunt with face turning red.lol ,,,,,,,,,,,

The 11-12 lbs with a roller wont seem like much. The old fish scale is very easy to use, but if memory serves me right I think HPD told me one time that the fish scale doesnt read correctly on the roller clutches.

BUBBA does the mark that i said in the first topic sound right.. i went over 2 ramp very hard to turn .. thats too much tension? i can hold it and turn the 2 halves easy but not real easy it feels like maybe 12 pounds to turn ... over 2 ramps almost impossible to turn halves..

i put the lines on the right before i pre loaded the spring... dune. i know the roller will turn easier than the buttons against the helix.but could u still turn the two halves after snap ring on without getting a hernea ....

I just replaced my secondary wednesday and had the same question. I called rick at rcr racing and he told me that from a resting position I wanted to preload the spring 1/3 of a turn..He also said that if I did it wrong I would know right away because the clutch would act really funny.
