Since I've installed my AXIS shocks, the bottom side of my machine has been taking a beating. Last night, my friend was riding my EX up a washed out gulley. When he hit a rock so hard, that it bent the skidplate up around the rear brake rotor. Not cool......
What brand of skid-plates do you run? and do you like them? I need some improvement, and fast!

 

I just ordered chassis & swingarm skid plates yesterday. I ordered an EXTREME for the swing arm - Moto-Man sells them for $59 and they said that they have a little better craftsmanship than the AC or DG. It's a fairly new product so I decide to try it.
My chassis skid was $69 and it is coming from PRM.
Right or wrong??? I'll let you know if one lets me down!

 

I run a DG rear skid plate and an AC full skid on the frame. I am completely impressed with both of them. Another added feature on the AC skid is that it comes completely up on the front. That has saved me from plowing into a rutted trail numerous times. The bike just skis right over the center hump. I ride river bottoms alot and that means alot of big rocks pop up out of now where. I have had to straighten the DG once. I hit a rock comeing off of a 6 foot drop off though. In theory, something is always better than stock skid plates.
