The new ATV sport magazine has an article in the front, endorsing Bush & w/ all the trails being closed & talk of banning ATV's, we better not vote for Gore or get ready to face the consequences. Most of my pals all hunt & fish so if you want to have the right to a gun also, you better not vote for Gore either cause they'll also be banned right ahead of quads. The sad thing is, most of my pals dont vote but they'll be the first ones to bitch when somethings banned.

You have to convince your friends to get out and vote. This election can be won or lost based on getting unregistered voters out to vote for their rights. I am tired of hearing about people that will not vote because they don't have time, ambition, etc. Well, when Gore gets elected and they no longer can ride atvs or hunt, they will have plenty of time on their hands. PA is a key state in the battleground midwest. Every vote counts!!!

 

This will be the first election I'm old enough to vote for. I will be voting come November and it sure in the hell won't be for Al Gore.

 

I agree though some gun control is very neccesary, a total ban i don;t agree with, i am not a hunter and really don't see why people do it, but at the same time, it is a right people have and should be able to keep. i own a camp in the northern maine woods and find that allot of hunters are giving good hunters a big time bad name, as is the atvers who won't follow the rules,
Education is the key but there will still be idiots, i cant let my dog run around the camp, during hunting season because people lose there dogs to hunters every year, i have never seen a poodle who looked like a deer or any other hunted animal but low and behold one got shot last year.
how can we stop the idiots from ruining it for the responsible ones you know that if only responsible people were hunting, riding or whatever else they are trying to ban there would be less of a case against us.

 

I don't know that there is a way to stop or get rid of the intellectualy handicapped who seem to excell at giving our sports and hobbies a bad name. We have to lead by example and try to get good publicity whenever possible if we are to preserve our rights. Getting good publicity in a liberal biased media however, is a daunting task.
Our strongest allies are organazations like the "NRA" and the "Blue Ribbon Coalition". Supporting them is our best bet.
By the way,xepathfinder, what kind of gun controll to you consider nessacary? I'm very interested in you opinion so please reply.

I also have many friends who don't vote. I always vote, and have been an active registered voter since 1980. I always remind my buddies thats its getting time to vote again, and if they do vote, which way to vote. If nothing else I always let them know that by voting you have at least earned the right to bitch. If you didn't vote then shut the fu*k up. Talk is cheap!

 

It sucks that our votes in Alaska don't account for much. Last election we already knew Clinton won before I even got to the poles. But I went and put my one little vote in against him anyway. And you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be there to vote against Gore too.

 

I hear ya akscrambler here in NV we only get 4 electoral votes but you can be dang sure I am going to do everything in my power.

 

I think more enforcement of the current gun laws needs to be addressed before we get new ones. I'm not sure most pepole understand gun control, I was taught that gun control means hitting what you aim at. Come on guy & gals get out and vote, take a friend or 2 with you, that way they can, complain, other wise I feel the same way, in different words, hush up.We will be voting Texas,Wyoming, even though our vote here in Nevada isn't very loud.

Why the hell do we need more gun laws??? There are over 20,000 gun laws nationwide!!! If we get to 30,000 will that be the magic number and all violent gun crime will stop?!?!?
Narcotics have been against the law to posess, use, transport, etc,etc,etc for years!! Has the government done a very good job at controling them?? Nope.

Like Les said, we need more AND BETTER enfocement of the current laws of this once great country!!!
