Well, I got the RCR stage 1 kit installed. Pretty easy, and man does it make a difference. Best mod for these things. And the wife loves the way the WB E-series slip on sounds (Always a good thing when the wife likes the sound of her bike). Also, I wanted to thank everyone on the forums. You don't know you all helped, but searching on here for the best and easiest way to do things helped a whole lot, and I thank you.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] But here is my question: I put an EPI primary red spring in the clutch. It engages a little high for the wife (I love it), but when you are coasting down from a high speed run, when the RPM's drop, it sounds like the clutch opens all the way, and the belt is spinning on the clutch. It is making a whine that has me a little worried.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] Is this normal? Any replies are welcome.

It is normal. If you dont like the epi red primary then try the epi pink. It engages the same as stock but pulls much harder in mid to top. I like the pink better then the epi red and Polaris white. This spring is awsome.

 

Jaybo777, Glad it worked out - good job. I have the EPI Red too. The sound is normal. I would do like 2manytoys and try the pink. 25$'s is not too much too play with.

 

I ordered the pink spring. Thanks for the inputs. I kinda like the red spring in the boss, but it is the wife's bike, and she lets me do what I want on the Z400, so I ordered the pink spring for her based on what you all have said. Again, you guys helped more than you will ever know. Thanks Jason
