metal filings in my oil
#2
How much and how big. Could be some normal wear. If you can find one install an oil plug with a magnet on it. If you can'f find one you can make then easy. Find a small screwdriver with the magnet on the end (usually a give away type). Drill a hole in you drain plug the size of the magnet (not all the way through of course) and slip it in. Try and keep it flush with the plug. Interesting what you see at oil changes. I usally always get a bit of a glob on mine. Just about the size of a drop of oil. Nothing to worry about.
If you think you've got a problem, tear apart the oil filter and see how much it's catching.

On the Rincon, is there a different drain for the engine and transmission??? What did your oil filter look like?
Years ago when I rode a Warrior, there was a pile of shavings in the filter EVERY TIME I did an oil change. Never could figure it out, and everybody told me it was "normal wear" for the Warrior. Glad I don't own that thing anymore!
