Default High/reverse Tranny rod, please help.Desperate

Gentlemen, I just noticed my bell crank on the rear part of the tranny for the high gear/reverse was stipped. Well, I take the crank off and found the shaft coming out of the transmission is stripped as well. Now, from looking at a blowout, it seems if I remove the ring clip on the transmission, the fork shaft will slide out, and can be replaced. Is this true, or will completely tear up the inside?

Please help, as a new bell crank will only strip again.

Thanks

Try a new bellcrank before you tear anything apart .If it is a little loose use a meatal epoxy to help hold it for awhile. But to change the shaft you need to pull the tranny.
