I have the oppurtunity to buy a clean 350X engine and at the same time know a guy who has done the same to his 250X so I will not have a problem installing it. Is there anything I should know before i invest in this?

 

I have a couple people here that have done it and they have said it was a piece of cake!! There was a couple of things they had to do to make it fit right but nothing major!! My opinion is that I think the 350x was and still is one of the best motors Honda has built.

 

i have my 94 300ex i would like to do this too.

 

WHATS TO LOSE YOULL GET MORE POWER AND STILL BE KEEPING THE 250X ENGINE RIGHT?

 

hell ya. i have a 250x. i want to do the same thing. only bad thing u loose reverse. double the horsepower only 8 more lbs

 

just bore the 250x

 

no get the 350x and bore it......then you'll be haulin azz....

 

go for the 350x motor. I installed a 86 350x motor into my 89 250R. Best move I ever made. The machine is a joy to ride.

 

Doing this conversion is a big improvement over the 250X. I had a big-bore 300EX and it was even night and day over that, and mine is virtually stock which is way more reliable than the big-bore 300EX I used to have. Check out my page, email me if you want to know anything.
