I have an 04 rancher S 4x4 and I'm hearing a dull clattering sound from the engine area when riding at higher speeds, only happens when on the gas a little. it's been there since it was new, and my buddies 02 does the same thing, i'm just wondering if anybody else heard the same thing with theirs....

 

I don't have any noise with mine, but I have noticed when trailering mine ( I have to carry it up on ramps so my daughters Recon will fit on the trailer) the inner fenderwells flap around. On my old 300, thet were only held on by little molded on clips. Check to make sure that they are secure, and I hope that it is as simple as that for you and your buddy.
