Default Throttle safety switch on 350L

Can I just cut one of the wires comeing out of the throttle so the darn thing will go in reverse. Im tired of messing with the adjustment. It seems after I get the cable adjusted its fine for a while then it needs to be played with again. Sometimes it will go in reverse without dieing and sometimes it wont. Anyone got a way to bypass the safety bs.

The two wires in the throttle are both needed. One goes to the carb the other goes to the oil pump.

Gotta be a way to bypass it. I have it adjusted now so it wont die when I let off the gas,but it wants to die when I try to put it in reverse.

Have you tried pressing the reverse over ride button when you are having problems? Look long and hard at that before cutting anything.

Im positive its in the throttle, reverse override works good when I can put it in reverse without it killing. Its that little button under the throttle cover with the 2 wires going to it.

I didn't ask how it worked when you get it in reverse. Have you tried to press the reverse over ride at an idle? Does the bike idle weird? Try the button when you try to go into reverse.
