After all the posts on the Rancher and Rubicon being recalled I decided to find out for myself. So I called some of the local dealers to ask them about the recalls. Here are the results:
Dealer 1:
-Rubicon
--if yours needs repair you will get something in the mail
--the recall notice was just received yesterday
--top of the A frame needs a stress rod???
-Rancher
--no recalls.

Dealer 2:
-Rubicon
--no recalls
-Rancher
--recall received on friday
--did not know what it was
--will call me back (still have not heard from them)

Dealer 3:
-Rubicon
--haven't received any bulletins
-Rancher
--haven't received any bulletins

Dealer 4:
-Rubicon
--haven't received any bulletins
-Rancher
--haven't received any bulletins

This really ticks me off. This is worse than auto service places. Does anyone know of a number at Honda that I can call to get some help. I wanted to send them these results in an email but I cant even find an email address.

 

I checked with 3 dealers in our area on the Rancher. Not one of the dealers knew anything about a recall.

There are many people on these forums that like to stir the pot. Its always the same handful of people who start up the bashing.

Not sure if you read my other post or not but I did find a recall on the rancher and I posted the text that the dealer finally gave me. Check your VIN agains that post.
