how do you put pics onto your page or whatever you call it....

how do you put pics onto your page or whatever you call it....
i tried putting some pics of my quad on there...i went to add and put my pic in under the browse part...clicked submit...the little screen came up that said uploading then it went back to the same screen with browse on it...and just sat there...
