Default Is The Frame????

I am looking at getting someone to fabricate a brace to hold a winch on the back of my 04 650. Is the frame strong enouph at the back to accommodate this?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks Guys

Default Is The Frame????

I've looked at my 500s and the answer is - nope - not without some additional braceing being welded in - simular to the receiver hitch.
If it were always a linear pull DIRECTLY rearward (and it never is) I would say maybe -
I'm going to weld up a L shaped 2inch square tube that will insert into the reciever hitch and hold the winch up
about a foot or so higher. Good heavy tube will take the pull and if it doesn't - I have not deformed the ATV frame.

But I'm interested in other peoples ideas also.
