I just bought a new Trail Blazer and wanted to know if any one could tell me how much oil it is to use per tank of gas. And if any one has had any trouble with there oil injector. I ran my first tank of pre-mix and the oil level went down very little. Is this normal.

 

That sounds normal to me. What color oil did it come with from the factory--blue or gold? Normal oil consumption would be 2 quarts of oil to 4 or 5 full tanks of gas.

 

Thanks for the Info. It came with blue oil from the factory. I am not crazy about oil injectors simply because if they quit there goes your engine.

 

i have a t-blazer for my wife and the thing hardly uses any oil.

 

The Blazer uses very little oil. The amount you said it drops is about right. The injector system varies the amount of oil depending on engine speed. At idle it leans it out to prevent fouling. At idle speed the engine does not need much oil anyway.

If you do decide to remove the injector and pre-mix the fuel/oil, Polaris recommended to me a ratio of 40:1.

 

I just top mine off before each ride. It can go a few rides without getting too low, but this is also a good way to verify that it's still using oil. Don't spend too much time worrying about the injector quiting. Just ride it and have fun.
